I love the way October creeps in. The air begins to feels different, the days get shorter, and everywhere you look there’s a hint of anticipation with pumpkins lined up on porches, costumes in the making, the first pot of cider simmering on the stove and the store decorations as merchants begin to prepare for that one night.
Halloween is more than a holiday; it’s a season all its own.
Getting ready for it can be as simple or as elaborate as you want. Some people dive into decorating weeks ahead, while others mark the days with small traditions like watching a favorite scary movie, baking something warm and spiced, or rereading a ghost story by candlelight. However you celebrate, the season offers a chance to pause, embrace the playful side of life, and maybe even welcome a little mystery.
I’ve always believed that Halloween shouldn’t be confined to just one night a year. And, I guess I am not alone in this thought as I tend to find other cozy corner’s online where the season never ends.
If you feel the same, you’ll want to check out thehalloweenseason.com a lovely website I stumbled upon recently.
We love promoting other people’s work!
