At Uncommon Bookshop, we stand behind the meaning of uncommon. Our items don’t come from big distributors or, publishing companies. Instead, almost every item you find here has a story. Our shelves are filled because of people, readers, collectors, and authors who choose to share their treasures with us.
Many of our items come directly from individuals who have donated books, media, and ephemera. Sometimes they’re passed down from a family collection, sometimes they’re gifts from readers ready to see their books find a new home, and sometimes they’re works entrusted to us by the author or artist themselves. Each piece is relocated to someone who will hopefully appreciate it, whether it is another collector, a fan, or simply a curious reader.
The money earned from these sales goes right back into keeping this bookshop alive. It helps us run the site, safely store items, and purchase shipping materials. Even though our storefront is currently online only, we treat every item with the same care you would expect from a physical shop.
If you have items you’d like to donate, you can use the comment box below to reach out. Your message will never be made public—it’s only read by our small staff, and we’ll respond directly to you. We cannot accept books or items that are torn, water-damaged, or otherwise unusable, but we welcome a wide range of material, including:
- Books in good condition
- CDs, VHS tapes, and DVDs
- Magazines and magazine lots
- Artwork and photography pieces
- Unique ephemera and collectibles
If you’re unsure whether something fits, just contact us and ask. We’ll be glad to let you know. Every donation helps keep Uncommon Bookshop running, and every item we pass along carries a little more of the story we are building together.
