Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 11, 2026

At Uncommon Bookshop, I value your trust and the simplicity of our interactions. Because this is a small, personal operation, I prioritize keeping things clear and minimal.

What Information Is Collected

When you interact with the site or purchase an item:

  • Transaction Information: If you purchase a book or vintage item through linked platforms (such as eBay or Mercari), I only receive the information necessary to fulfill your order, such as your shipping address and the details of your purchase.
  • Communication: If you reach out via email, I only use that information to respond to your specific inquiry or request.

How Information Is Used

  • To process and ship orders you have placed.
  • To communicate with you regarding your order or inquiries.
  • I do not use your information for marketing emails, newsletters, or third-party tracking. I do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Third-Party Platforms

Because Uncommon Bookshop functions as a curated portal to items listed on external sites (like eBay or Mercari), please be aware that those platforms have their own privacy policies. Once you click through to complete a purchase, you are subject to the terms and privacy practices of those specific platforms.

Your Choices

You have the right to ask what information I have regarding any past orders or communications and to request that I delete that information from my personal records at any time.

Contact

If you have any questions about your privacy or how I handle your information, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

About the Shop

Uncommon Bookshop is a working shop, a reading room, and a record of the objects that pass through it.

The Shopkeeper’s Log follows the daily life of the shelves: books newly arrived, forgotten authors rediscovered, inscriptions left by former owners, old photographs, recorded music, maps, letters, paper fragments, and the occasional object that proves difficult to describe or part with.

Some entries begin with an item offered for sale. Others wander farther, into the lives of writers, illustrators, collectors, publishers, booksellers, and the shops that once held whole neighborhoods together. Together, they form an ongoing account of what books and other surviving objects carry with them, long after their first owners are gone.
